Welcome
to Pontycymer Nursery School Garden
Project online.
Over
the past few months we have transformed
our garden from a patch of grass into
an Oasis for both us and the wildlife.
We had a very successful and well attended Sensory Garden "Open Day" in the Summer Term. Janice Gregory A.M. officially cut the ribbon for us. Children from Ffaldau Primary School and their parents were invited with local community members and the daughter and grandchildren of Mrs Nellie McShane who kindly donated the money that enabled us to transform the side garden into a Sensory Garden. All guests enjoyed a buffet and refreshments after the opening.

children were encouraged to compose a
simple poem or song, the three finalists
were picked by the children. The Eco
Committee then chose the final winner –
Rhys Woods, who received a prize for his
poem. Thank you Rhys and his parents
